Shopify accessibility

A Shopify ADA compliance checker that shows its work.

Website accessibility demand letters and lawsuits against e-commerce sites are common in the US, and the same pressure is building in the EU under the European Accessibility Act, which has applied to e-commerce services since June 28, 2025. If you sell to US or EU customers, an inaccessible checkout is a business risk, not just a UX detail — and it's worth knowing what a scan can already catch before you pay for a full audit or a lawyer's letter shows up first.

What "ADA checker" means here

No automated tool can honestly certify ADA or WCAG compliance, regardless of what the marketing says. What this tool does is run a real browser against your public storefront pages with axe-core, an open-source WCAG rule engine, and report exactly which rules failed, on which element, with a Shopify-specific fix direction. That's evidence your developer can act on, not a pass/fail badge.

Why overlays don't solve this

A JavaScript overlay layered on top of a broken theme doesn't repair the underlying markup — it's a pattern accessibility auditors and plaintiffs' firms already recognize and still flag. Fixing the source (a mislabeled button, a missing form label, low-contrast text) is what actually removes the risk.

Free scan vs. the $29 report

Free: one public page, three highest-priority findings, no signup. $29 one-time: up to five representative page types, every automatically detected issue with evidence, print/PDF export, and one free re-scan within 30 days.
